I’m setting up my new 16” MBP, and I grew concerned when Target Display Mode was giving me a black screen. Rebooted the iMac, and all is good. I also learned that macOS dropped support for Target Display Mode with 10.13.6 (on the iMac). This solution isn’t long for the world.
